Home Surveillance Systems Reviews

You're worried about what's going on in your home when you're not there. Or you have a Nanny you're not sure you can trust. Maybe you live in an area where there have been burglaries. Or maybe your home has already been broken into.

The truth about home surveillance systems

If any of this rings true, you need to think very seriously about buying a home surveillance system.

The truth is, today's surveillance systems cost much less than you might guess. In fact, you can a fully featured wireless CCTV system with four cameras and a receiver on amazon.com for less than $225. The receiver can be connected to any TV that has VGA inputs and presto! You are now the proud owner of a watchdog that never sleeps, eats or has to be let out.

There are also surveillance systems that include a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). These systems typically cost a couple of hundred dollars more. But they have the added benefit of letting you sit and review a day's or week's worth of video at your leisure - instead of having to watch it in real time. These videos can also be used as evidence - to catch a misbehaving Nanny or to help the police identify a thief.

Cheaper than a home security service

While $225 (or more) might sound like a lot of money, it can be less expensive than one of those home security services where you have to pay a monthly fee - for as long as you use the service. Since several of these companies are currently offering a $250 rebate for signing up, you can just imagine how much the service would cost over the course of a year.

Simple and easy to install

One of the best things about a home surveillance system is that many of them are wireless, eliminating the need to snake cables all over your house. Some are also battery operated so you don't even need to place them near an electrical outlet. In fact, you can place these home surveillance cameras anywhere you want them - to watch your baby at when it sleeps, to keep an eye on your Nanny or to watch your front and back doors for intruders.

Peace of mind

Don't just sit there and worry about what's happening with your baby or children or your hard-earned belongings. Get a home surveillance system and you'll be buying one of the most important things in the world - peace of mind.
